Questions about vehicle tax on trucks vs SUV

I live in Connecticut, and I've been told that if I were to purchase a truck, I would be paying more tax on the vehicle than if I were to buy an SUV. I've been googling for reliable website to confirm this but unable to find one. Does anyone know any truth regarding this tax law in CT? or there is no such thing?

it varies in different state. Yea you can ask your DMV or the dealer. If u r buying the car from ur state that is.

I'm not sure about other states but in TX, if U have SUV, U can plate as truck or car ...
And if U want to save money, buy it as car :)
