Toyota has released some initial imagery of the 2007 Toyota Corolla, which will go on sale in Japan next week. The car was first previewed less than two weeks ago at the Paris Motor Show with the 2007 Auris Space Concept.

Today's photos show the redesigned Corolla sedan — now known as the Corolla Axio — and completely redesigned Corolla Fielder small station wagon. The production hatchback — based on the Auris concept — has yet to be unveiled. So far, there has been no word on when the car(s) will come to America. Low-res gallery after the jump…

PS. And yes this Corolla does come with auto parking like LS460.

Đa số, chứ không phải hầu hết nha, trong nhử chiếc xe của Toyota đều có emblem của riêng chiếc đó, như nhửng người làm tại Toyota họ nói cái emblem của nhửng chiếc xe này là cái soul của nó. Supra hồi trước củng có emblem, Celica, MR2, Windom, Alphard, Estima và nhiều lấm đều có emblem của riêng nó.

The headlight looks very like the tC here. Not bad looking at all.

Do you have pics of the NEW 2008 Corrolla? Come on Toyota, Civic is getting a lot of sales with the new design.

Corolla ở trên là một trong 4 chiếc Corolla hiện được bán tại Nhật. Corolla cho USA thì có nghe và đả thấy qua cái design của nó qua nhửng kiểu vẻ của Toyota. Chiếc Corolla mới có cái tail light của Camry cái headlight thì khác nhiều, nhưng final design của nó vẩn chưa được thấy. R nghỉ củng vài tháng nửa sẻ thấy qua cái chiếc Corolla cho USA. Chiếc Corolla mới sẻ không có nhửng cái luxury gióng như bên Nhật, bro có thấy Corolla back up gióng như LS460 big brother của nó chưa.

Why would they do that? Who would opt for an option that would cost about 1/4 of the vehicle price and only use it very little. The reason the LS460 got it because when you spend about $70k on the car, a $3k option is easy to sell. And beside, the Corrolla is a compact/sub-compact car, they is NO problem to parallel park.

LS460 mới có thôi, lúc mà Prius mới redesigned lại thì đả có và cái technology này nó đả lan rộng ra nhửng chiếc sau này. Bên Nhật thì càng lúc thì cái chổ đậu xe nó chật, còn ở robot parking garage thì không cần đến. Bên Mỷ thì không cần rồi, chổ nào chổ ấy rộng cả đậu thoải mái. Nó còn có HID nửa bổ xung vào.

CCS, hảy coi cái link này nghỉ sao về cái design này. Bro hỏi Toyota chừng nào Corolla sẻ redesign lại vậy hảy coi cái link này, và R củng đi hỏi và được biết chiếc Corolla Fielder sẻ là Corolla tại Mỷ. Không chắc 100% đâu nha, chỉ 70% mà thôi. http://toyota.jp/customize/corollafielder/index.html

It's a cool looking car but I highly doubt that we will see that in Corolla US.
If we see it, there will be a lot of "cut off" from this design.
The reason is very simple: $$$$$
Here is the breakdown:
Toyota Corolla: in the $15K+ range
Toyota Camry: in the $20K+ range
Lexus IS: in the $30K+ range

Corolla may bring in some new cool looking design to:
1) compete with Civic
2) raise their price up (close to $20K ?)

Camry with new design has sucessfully raised up the price to surpass the $20K brick.
I remember last year people got a 06 Camry LE for $18-19K driveout.
This year, that price is like "no way, jose" for 07 Camry LE

It's kinda true, but Corolla:
1) will not be the same price with Camry (just close ...)
2) will hit the young generation with some cool look (Camry is known for old folks)

In the end, it's still a good biz move.

I think eventually Ford and GMC will get back their market share. Toyota keeps raising their price. GMC and Ford are trying to hold their prices and at the same time trying to improve their quality. I used to think my car got to be made by Toyota, but since my last car shop, I lost that thought.

In the car biz (or almost any hardware biz), quality is the main thing.
Once U got the name like "POS", it does not matter what price, it's still a POS.
FORD stands for so many POS name (ex, Found On Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily, ...)
Detroit needs to get their act together and build some Quality cars b4 they totally lose the market share.
