I've never driven a Bimmer before so can you describe your experience? Is it worth the investment? Is the engine reliable? Is the cost of ownership high?
thx.

Your statement "once you drove it, you wouldn't go back" is so true, at least with my experience.
In the past, I have driven and owned Camry, Lexus RX300, Accord, Legend, mazda 3, Maxima.
The thing with BMW comparing to a regular car is that the car is so damn stable, stick to the ground, steering is not so loosely like other brands, it is stiff, but in a good way, it will take you around 1 month to get use to it though. BMWs are also very stable at high speed. For the same money, it's hard to find another car that handles better. I got my 325 a yr ago, and if I have to do it again, I would do the same thing, so worth it.
In term of engine reliability. Historical data have shown that Japanese cars is the best in this area, after that are German cars, then American/Korea cars, then Italian brands. So, I would say BMW, MB, and Audi are pretty reliable, but can't compare to toyota/Honda.
BMW takes care of all the service for the 1st 4 yrs for free, you only need to pay for tires and alignment.

BMW is "driver" car, but is not a "owner" car, nor "everyday driving" car.... that's sum up the whole ideal

I agree with everything hhnguyen said. I like the car for its handling but man, you go to places like Orange county and almost all of your nu gen cousins drive a bimmer. that made me go with something else. by the way, when the 4 yrs is up, be prepared to cough up some green stuff cause it's darn expensive (maintenance & repair)
but of course, you'll need to go test drive one for yourself. that new coupe looks pretty hot

They are just normal car, my Vette Z06 cost two times more then a 3-series, way faster, more advance technology. Also I drove a 5-series BMW before, not too impressive.....and they are surely a fast car.
Don't invest your money in a BMW!! Cost of ownership is way too high!!!

My_love78 - are you comparing a base model 3 series with a fully loaded Z06? Take a look at the 335i and try to add options on it, you will see. Again, we can't compare a 3 series to a Z06, they're in different class. the new M3 would be a fair comparison though.
Yep, if money (not driving experience) concerns you, then BMW or any German cars is not for you. You should stick with Honda/toyota, including their higher brands.
