dont quite understand your question. What mode are you talking about? Hmmm WinXP has that function? Automatically turn off computer without 3rd parties software? ....

Never hear about that either....in windows XP, you can set your system to 'STAND BY' mode...meaning that when your computer is not in-used it'll power down to save the energy. Dont know if you can set your computer as a timer machine...??????

Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Power Options.
In Power Options Properties click APM and check/select Enable Advanced Power Management support

Hello may' bro,

Thanks bro Dundy for the good tip.

Okei when I click on shut down tab in the windows, WinXP was shut down
But it doesn't shut down or stopping my computer (PC box) completely. The power is still running. Unlike Win9x and WinME, when I click shut down tab, my PC turn off automatically and completely, I don't have to press the power button like everytime I did in WinXP. Thanks everyone for the input. Have a nice day.
