TB,
`1) May' G2 cu?a mi`nh co' manual feature chỉnh qua không giống như anh DTB no'i ? I have no ideas, hate reading manuals. If so , what page please ? :p
2) trong manual của G2, what page talks about flash ? :D I'm too lazy and too scare to go thru the whole manual.
T. co' try to go up to G2 powershot.com forum to read about tips and exchange ideas, but there are so many, I don't have time .

T. thử chụp cái seiko đeo tay đi làm hằng ngày, could not get half as close as yours.

wolf lên bargaintech.com hay amazon.com thi?nh thoa?ng no' hay cho mi`nh coupons ddo', thi` mua dduoc gia' re? & free shipping, no tax, etc...out of state. Hinh nhu co' nhieu nguoi no'i la` Sony bất tiện, tại vì nó không xài CF, & memory sticks are more expensive, and more delicate.To^'n tie^`n accessories hơn .
Pro: T. thích G2 tại vì cái LCD của nó flip- able, thí dụ minh ra nắng , mình có thể quay vô trong cho đỡ chói mà vẫn view đuọc . Wolf lên net search for "powershot.com"hay canon G2 gi` ddo', co' nhieu good review la('m, they even have their own bulletin board.
CON: so với máy conventional thì digital cam không có ergonomic and "bang resistant", de^~ bi. rớt , dể bị scratch, . You need a good fluffy leather bag or canvas bag to carry it in to be safe.
T. nghĩ digicam này khó chụp hơn my old minolta, tại vì nhieu features qua', too many that if you don't set it right, bad pix will come out, where as my old ones, features is limited, can not go wrong :D
Also to^'n batteries wa', :D . I already have to recharge and have not even taken that many pix yet, where as the conventional , no lcd, batteries go a long way, so you might want to look for some place with extra chargers that they bundle up as a package.
Ca'i link duoi na`y no'i ve comparison between powershot and nikon coolpix, co' some good comparison data.

Hi Tammy,
Nice to know you ! cám ơn Tammy nhiều nha đã viết rất là tưởng tận.

wolf,
Think about before buy a G2, if you think you will use up to 4MB pixels for large print like 8x11, then you should get something like that. However, if you just look for digital for posting image on the web like this one, then you'll waste money. Get something around 2MB pixels only with power zoom and macro, then I am sure you will get quality picture on the web, and it'll cost you less than $300.00.
Good luck.

:D. lại vuacorona na`y nữa ta, so far we had nothing in common but different viewpoints. That is ok, I love challenges !:D
I'm going to be a "devil advocate" and defend my G2
1) From consumers view points in 2002--- because of slow economy, producers have reduce the prices greatly, in hope of boosting their sales. We would not be getting all these tech toys at these prices if it was not for over-production (surplus) and not enough demands.
Like buying a house, you should view any durable goods such as these as long term investment.
a) You like to get into bigger and better house at the cheapest interest rates and slow economy.
b) Things like these are a pain & hassle to upgrade
Why-- You losing time, and valuable skills each time you upgrade something, such as having to learn techniques all over again. Not mention your attachment to your old camera.
2) If you take the price of the total camera divided by 365 days, you will figure out how much it worths or would cost you per day . Would this be too much to spare per day ? out of your budget.
3) Technology is changing as fast as it could, so why not buy something for the right price with all the options in it, eventhough you may have no needs for it right now. Like Vua said, if you were going to print 8 x 11 , or this will be waste of money. Who knows wolf, one day you may found out that you have taken an exceptional picture, and you have wished you had better camera to publish it.
4) For me, I have lots of use for my minolta , over last 10 years, taking pix of flowers, landscape, children, pets, some of which are very sentimental and dearing to me, and now looking back , I wished I had purchased a better camera, had I have money back then.
5) Also another trick is that on line shopping, I just got another $100 off of this G2 because Dell had came out with another sale which is cheaper than the $670.00 I paid for, so I called and complained and they said they will credit us back another $100 .
so my total price is only $570.00 . What I learn in life is "you don't get if you don't ask " , so why not haggle back with the vendors , all the salesmen haggle with buyers ?? It's our turn to fight back , in my opinions.

Who did you call? Dell or your credit card company ?
Tammy Nguyen

TB, Call Dell 1-800- Customer support number on the packing list
1-800-624-9897. Just say you recently bought the G2, and now this week you have it for less than $100 what you brought it at.
They will ask for your customer number, when you bought it to verify.
For TB, you may be a little over the 30 days trial so it may be harder to bargain, but who cares. Try anything, threaten them that you will return, and re purchase to get that price if you have to. Dell likes to please their customers, so they will cave in to your request.
Make sure you apply it after discount, my costs 779, with out coupons, after coupons & everything elses applied, it was $679. So now I'm taking the after discount price and asked to bring it down to 579.00, and they were in good mood(Friday -perhaps), and gave it to me.
Also check with your credit card company, some credit card have price match guarantee.

Thanks a lot for your explanation Tammy. Actually, i'm not pro photographer or anything i'm interested in G2 because this baby has an awesome 4.0 mega pixel i know i might not need that high pixel, but i'd love to explore it how to use it :D. Is G2 excellent for indoor shooting? like in the wedding party :p
Anyway, i used to compare the price at pricegrabber.com for computer shopping. I found a web site which sold G2 below 500 bucks, to be exact is $484 Canon G2 (http://www.amphotoworld.com/product_detail.asp?sku=cnpsg2) cheaper than dell.com huh?

Wolf!
Have you ever check out kodak technology? they have awesome high tech color on their digital camera. The latest digital built I think is Kodak DX4900 with 4mb pixels, and I saw a web site cost only $350 with free shipping.
For me, I don't have digital camera :-(, I only have a hight power slr and many different lens. I still enjoy film rather digital, all my pictures I scan from film.
good luck

very good wolf, but give them a call and ask where they are located, make sure the source that you are buying from is reliable.Also from my experience , most of the small mom and pop stores have a tendency to advertise cheap prices to lure customers in. After that, they try to sell you all theses accessories that are higher prices than standard. If you turn them down, they will "trở mặt". I had several of those in New York, and New Jersey, saying that --oh no we don't have anything in stock, oh we don't take rain check, our offer is only good for 3 days at this price, etc... Lots of bad businesses out there on line so be careful. Dell is not the cheapest place but it does have customer's satisfaction in mind, and I know as big as they are, they are not out to rip me off of couple
hundred bucks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
also their return window policy is only 14 days, may not be long enough for one to play with the camera and decide if you want to keep it or not
Tammy, very good point you pointed it right there. I know that many sites business out there are not that good in customer service i agree with you about it. On the other hand, i'm pretty familiar for shopping computer on the net, for instance if you order an item called OEM which means the seller is just guarantee in a limit of time usually 30 days after that if you got problems with your computer stuffs you have to contact directly to the manufacturer. I'm not sure about digital cameras 'cos i've never ordered it online.
Anyways, according to their area code 718 which is located somewhere in New York. Their digi cameras prices seem very reasonable don't you think? the only thing i'm concerned about is their business, cutomer service stuff.
Have a wonderful long weekend with your loved ones!
