Hi all! Linux and Solaris which software do you recomand to use?

you don't really tell use what you want to do, how can we recommend which one is best fit for you?
It would depend on what software you are talking about. Alot of software out there for linux is free but for sun it cost you money :)

What hardware do you own ?? IA32 or Sun Sparc ...
Linux on Sparc is better than Solaris on Intel, Solaris on Intel is slow dog shiet ....
So Linux all the way

So that you mean if I have Intel i should install linux and If I have SunSparc then I should install Solaris right?

no... sun can run linux too. The advantage of linux is the abundance of freeware out there.

Rite, cuz Solaris is built and optimized to run sun's hardware.
On the other hand, linux on Intel cuz of flexibility, robustness, free support, free softwares. Of course Linux can run Sparc just fine.
BTW, linux support over 11 platforms

no'i ro? ho*n la` vt pha?i download bash, g++, gunzip, ssh cho Solaris va` complie.
