Do you know Java? If you do, then doing applet is not hard. Just look at Java API, it will give you all the methods in the applet class. You need to learn how to use swing and awt class.

Go out there and still it. :) That is what good java programmer does. They don't write everything. They just go out there and find pieces by pieces then combine them together. :)

That is not a bad advice, because that is my proff (head of the caltrans software department) said so. He only hired people who know java, and he told me that his programmers just go out there and find the code that is already written and starte to put it together. Only work for java. :)

Why reinvent the wheels right? Also for C++ too or VB. I go out there and search for the good code. But make sure that you credit the author in the comments for someone that do not like you or your code will be all your ass about it.
