Mandrake 9 Installation Help

I tried to install mandrake 9 to my labtop, by cd and floppy, yet my computer could not recognize the installation cd, claiming it to be an invalid installation cd. Yet it's the installation iso that i downloaded from linux.org. Any reason why?

I believe you need to run the disk in windows then create a linux bootdisk first.

Use another computer to open that cd.... if you only see one file (ie. name.iso), then you need to burn the iso as image files in Nero (or any other burning apps)
Here's what I did:
1) download 3 iso from mandrake
2) using nero, when the wizard come up, hit cancel
3) Click on File -> Burn Image -> select the iso
4) go into the bios and change the boot sequence
5) pop in the CD 1... & my comp. take it from there
