I replaced the transmission fluid, filter, pan gasket on 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity and the fluid keep dripping slowly from the gasket on the cement floor the next day. I then removed the pan and checked the rubber gasket for cracks and did not find any problem. I then bought a sheet of cork and cut out a custom-made gasket and replace it. During the process of tighten the pan's bolts I did not over-do the torque. I'm still having the same dripping problem. Any suggestions?

Congratuation on your effort to DIY! I think you just need to remove the pan again, clean it thoroughly, check for bend or crack and install a brand new gasket.

That should take care of the problem, good luck
