1 1/4 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown suger
3/4 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoes
2/3 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter or margarine melted

Preheat the oven to 450F
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Add the suger and stir to mix.
In a separate bowl, combine the sweet potatoes with milk and melted butter or margarine. Mix well until evenly blended.
Stir the dry ingredients into a sweet potato mixture to make a dough. Turn the mixture onto a lightly-floured surface and knead lightly just to mix, 1-2 min.
Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out rounds with a 1.5 inch cookie cutter.
Arrange the rounds on a greased cookie sheet, and bake until puffed and lightly golden, appro. 15 min.
Serve the biscuits warm.
