help with car problem

Honda accord 99

a sign said" MAINT REQ'D" (organge light) keep light up inside my car, can you guys tell me what's that mean and how to fix it

the light come on is not the problem that you can find or see, you might want to check your nearest dealer or outside shop you diagnonis and see what is the problem. Like my brother Nissan Blue Bird, the light came on twice. The first problem was the gas cap didn't tight enought, second was the oil cap. You get me picture?

Usually orage is notice, red is warning. How many mile on the car? It may well be the light come on to remind you of the "recommended scheduled maintanance" Not sure, but if so that can be reset to turn off until the next maintenance interval arrive...( hold down the trip odometer reset button and insert the key into the ignition, turn the key to the first click/postition then let go of the button and remove the key.I think this is how, can't remember for sure)
