The high-performance Evolution joins the Lancer lineup with a I4, 271-horsepower turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, 17-inch Enkei wheels, and Brembo brakes. HID light.
Invoice Price Range $13,148 - $26,891.

MOMO seats, I4 supercharged 2.O. What do i think about this car? Eventhough am not a big fan of AWD except R-34 of course. I like it pretty much, i test the Evo IV before and the feeling drive in one awsome, it hug to road bite on corners gezz love the feeling. Take it off road, you in it world. Evo has been around 10 years, this is the first time it come to US to market. This car only come in manual no automatic. Don't know Mitsu will come out of it automatic or not but i think manual is better, you get more power out of it and you in control of the transmission not the machine.

so all of the japanese automaker had a street racing car out. I was wondering, when is Honda and Toyota come out. I don't think Honda will had a street race model. But Toyota is suppose to had Supra model in 2003. Don't know guy, is this a rumor or not.

this car look good for the price range, it's around the price of the civic, but it looks alot better, more power too. Too bad the brand is not as popular as Honda.
Very amazing intern of numbers...I haven't tested drive one of those so I can't really tell; however, it doesn't hurt to try!
AWD with low ground clearance? I am not sure about its offroad capability.

they do muonchoi remember the NSX, S2000 and RSX. Toyota have MR2, and Celica well this 2wd but in the race it 4WD and the design is different too.

yeah i think its called evo VII gta. its a 5 speed triptronic auto and has less power as well, something like 197 kw.

because I saw a lot of 2002 Lancer (which is Evolution 7)
and now this 2003 Lancer is Evolution 8

I'm not sure if RSX can compare with WRXi and Lancer evolution, and the S2000 is too expensive for the car. And NSX is way too expensive, price/performance is not worth the money. That why I said Honda don't have the "street race car" except for those who tune their Honda.

dealers have a mark up of 10k or more the last time i checked...
so these babies arent worth the extra mark up...
msrp of the evo8 should b almost 30,000...
the non evo lancer is of course lower...theyre going for bout 14k-17k <msrp> theyre fwd and no FI...

s2000 can b had for 29k ish....so its actually cheaper than the evo8 marked up price...
and no...the rsx cant b compared with those boosted awds..

hmmm i didn't know that this is the first time i have hear, now am confused the dealer guy said it only come manual, so does my friends. Well thanks remus, i just know more about Evo. It does not matter what car when it come with automatic is weaker than manual.

i guess all im saying is supras are different...
the automatic gear shifting is actually faster than any human shifts... = faster ETs down the 1/4miles...
the gear in the transmission you can change, so you can have faster shifting even faster than automatic.

so going down the quarter mile ure using only the 1st and 2nd gear?? :rolleyes:
and by the way...changing ur gear ratios is entirely different from how fast ure shifting...
u shift earlier...or later...but u just dont shift faster...

have you ever watch races tv? such sush F1, JGTC, LEMANS they all uses manual, why don't they uses automatic? because it faster, more powerful, less fuel consuming etc. All am trying to say it automatic is disadvantage than manual.

Stop argue PlayBoi, automatic transmission will never be supass manual in term of performance. Automatic transmission is control by embed computer chip, it will never shift faster than manual. Therefore it not going faster than manual. Well except for those who just learn to drive manual, which I think you are.

do you understand how the sequential transmission work??
simply up and down in gears...much faster than the typical 5/6 speed trans..
the advantages are..no misshifts...shifts are faster...it easier just to go up and down...
the same thing with the controlled supras transmissions...
its strong enough to hold up to 500hp without blowing up...
did i say that ALL automatics have the advantage over manual?
