I just want to suggest a new forum that would be very beneficial to the Viet community. At times people will have questions but don't know exactly where to post to be appropriate. I was thinking of somewhat of a "Question - Answer" forum where people could ask "general" questions.. like say, "I need to do such and such..", "..where would I go?", "..what do I need?", "where to get...?" Then people who know could answer or give advice/suggestions, etc... The forum only takes questions concerning general, everyday, social problems and stuff like that. And if we don't want illegal/ethical issues we just encourage people not to bring up annoying questions like "how to make streamload work?", "how to hack such and such?"

Basically, aside from the cars, computers, homework, entertainment that we have forums for, there many other aspects of life where potentially all kinds of questions could arise and people could use a place to get quick answers to. So the idea of a Question/Answer forum could be the place where we could share information. Let's face it, questions don't just fall perfectly into the areas that we presently have forums for. In the spirit of Vietpride, of all the people, if given a priority, to whom should we have the obligation to help out? That's right, our Viet people! So let's create the environment where that could happen. Share the knowledge, the power. That's how we can help our people and our communities to grow. Ok, that's it for me. I'm actually very busy these days but I happened to drop by and thought I should put in my suggestion before I forget it later. See y'all around :)

heheh to open a forum, no problem. However, to convice staffs about that, would you give me such a question that I cannot sort it into any of our current forums?

This is a good idea and i think it would best fits under tutorial so i have make a sub forum of that forum to have general question to be answer. I hope this will work for you.

hehehhe.. you mean you couldn't think of anything that relate to my point? Are you serious? :) Suppose someone lost his green card and is clueless as to where to go to apply for a new one, or how long it would take to get a new one. Here's another scenario. You're new to a town and want to know where to get certain things and wondering someone familiar with the area could tell you. Or, you're building a.. no, not a computer, but your own deck or patio, but don't know what kind of wood to buy. In many cases people could find the answer by browsing on the net, but someone who knows about those things could tell them in a second. Do you guys notice that in the "hot deals" section even though the rule says only post hot deals, people post questions anyway? That's because the "hot deals" forum is as close to their topic as it gets. Oh yeah, suppose you're obsessed with working out in the gym and wondering if other guys like you could tell you their routines. Basically if you have nutrition/health questions, would you go to "Go'c Thie^n Ddi.a"? :) It wouldn't be logical to open up a forum for every category you could think up, but it'd be nice if there's a place where people could ask about things that don't belong anywhere else. You do you see my point, right? The main goal is not to open new forums but rather to open a forum that people could ask questions and exchange ideas.

Anyway, I love VCB, so I only brought up the suggestion hoping to help VCB be more constructive, not the other way around.

ever think about putting a Ghost story subforum inside Truye^.n forum? i personally love to read ghost story...even though after reading i can't go to the bathroom by myself...:weed:
