wat I see in cars now a day is not good sound, it's just loud sounds, the sub in cars are way too muddy, they are simply just loud, and it's not even music. I say spent that money on a home system where u will be at most of the time, spent money on car audio and get it stolen is point less (and trust me, it's hella easy to get stuff stolen from ur car once u get them notice) :)

Hey i have an RSX Type S. The head unit is stock, which is a 6-disc cd player. I don't want to take it out because it is expensive. I want to build a system around 1000. the speakers are BOSE, head unit is also BOSE, i think i need a subwoofer and amp..but what brand and how much are they and what size? thank u

If you want to use a stock head unit, you need a line out converter around 75-100 bux to use the stock head unit with aftermarket amps.

Good subs run at least 350 bux for one, an enclosure for it is at least 100 bux, subwoofer amp run at least 250 bux for 1000 wrms.

You better buy on internet they are cheaper than stores, if you live in the bay area I can show you to some stores that you can get a good deal on car stereo systems. Btw I would recommend these set ups: amp: PPI or Phoenix Gold, Sub JL, Deck Alpine, Mid range Kicker will do a good job too. Just my 2cents

Line out convertor: http://www.davidnavone.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=N-9192V

should just ditch the bose stuff. Bose sux. 500 bux system won't improve much on stock.

They are Pacific car stereo( Fremont) and Guru ( Sj), but you have to go there and bargain with them to get the good deal, I recommend you to buy the whole system @ Pacific, cause they will give you a deal, you have to look the stuff online first to know the price , that makes you more easier to bargain. If you need more details let me know. You can email me if you want to
quochung@pacbell.net
BTW if you need someone to install the system I can hook you up with that too.
