brake and battery

Hi,

I'm driving a Honda Accord 1998, V6. Anyways yesterday 10/31/03, I'm at a gas station filling up my car and when I turn it on the brake light and battery light luminate. I went to autoparts to do a battery test, and the result was fine. And brake fluid is full. What does this mean? Does anyone have this problem before? I'm considering taking it to specialized japanese car repair shop, which run about $67 just for diagnostic. Inputs needed.

It turns out a bad alternator. Installed new alternator, had it for about 142 after a 55 trade-in @NAPA. After this, the brake and light indicators are returning to normal. So saved some bucks $$.
