How to Reset a locked Kodak Camera

My Kodak DC290 camera locked up. It happend when my brother took picture with the warning LOW Battery. Kodak said remove the memory and put new battery and press Capture button but it not work for me. Anyone know how to reset it?
(Warranty expired. It cost money to send to dealer for check-up)

Kodak DC series are excellent both in color and quality . Too bad they all had problem with start up likely cause by the processor used for so many functions in the camera. The best solution for slow start up is use high (2200 maH NiMh) batteries and fast transfer rate memory card ( like Lexar)
