It gonna cost you a lot to clean out the fuel system and gas tank. That's the only way.

You may have damage the fuel injectors ...So go clean them out first

If your car still new (I mean 5 years or less) then the misfire maybe from the coil that controls the spark plugs. The fuel injection usually for older car. If the misfire happens at certain speed or when you try to accelerate ==> in this case you feel your car engine shaking a lot before it starts catching power.
My suggestion: check the coil. You may find one of them is already damage.

You need to clean the fuel system to remove the diesel, replace spark plugs, change oil and check the coils. After you're done, remove the battery power for ~ 1 minute to earse the misfire codes.

It's not easy to do it at home. A professional gas system and fuel injection are needed. It's costly though.

I wonder how did you force the big fat diesel nozzle into the small hole of your gas tank. It's like a horse is trying to mount a dog :D

Yeh, that 's what I wonder too, special nozzle for each.
Anyway, need the shop to clean out first.

The car is misfire maybe because of the spark plug wire, or could be a broken piston ring or low compression. So if you know how to do a compression check it will help you a lot. And it depend on your car model if you have fuel injection then it's nothing wrong with your fuel system.
