hey...i wonder is there anyway i can change the plug in my house from 30 AMP to 50 AMP?? cuz my drying machine it use the 30 AMP and i have a granding machine using 50 AMP is there anyway i can convert it w/out calling a electrician home?? thanx in adavance

i am not an electrician, but i think, in north america (usa and canada):

household socket rated @ 120VAC max current at 15A.
if you need more power for your dryer, use 220VAC... involving changed the breaker at the fuse box, and the socket.

What is a granding machine? When you go to that high an ampere, you will need to make sure that the wires in your house will be able to handle that much load. It's not as simple as changing out the fuses. I recommend that you use the services of an electrician, unless you want to see your house burn to the ground.
