Honda Accord 97 LX Automatic transmission

I have some questions about this car. Is it normal for this car when you driving, the car kind of shock up as it changes from first gear to second gear and third gear? Also the steering wheel kinda heavy to turn compare to other cars i have used.

Yes, it sounds normal to me. For the transmission, be sure to change the fluid once every 20-30k miles or so. It's very easy to change...easier than changing engine oil. I would use Honda Geniue ATF.

Yes, steering is a little heavier compare to its previous generation. This is to make the car more stable and quite a bit better handling.

Yup, It normal to me because I got one too.... Anyway, change only Dealer ATF from honda only like Nam said.....

You compare the honda accord with acura legend, The legend is much more heavier than the accord.....

I have a 90 Legend and steering is very light to turn, not so hard like you guys said. I thought all Honda have very smooth, light steering. But I notice on 2 Honda cars already that after an accident for some reasons, the steering is much harder, even harder than other brands too.

From my observation, early 80s Honda's streering was very light to run, infact, one finger could do it. Late 90s Accord's steering is harder to turn...even harder than my Honda SUV for some reasons...

For the legend, I don't own one so I don't know.
