Need advice for buying a convertible

Mustang is a horrible car in the world. I have a chance to fix that car, The engine bay is so open and the dirt very easy to get in unlike japanese car. The part is so expensive, I bought the brake pad for the front and the rear cost $200 @ pep boys. The car @ 40,000 and it start to leak oiler already. You open the hood and you will know why !!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's a lot of responses and cool ideas!! I will stay away from Ford then.
Here is more info from me so I could get more accurate help.
1) The convertible has to be manual transmission. Can't stand automatic.
2) Four seats, since I very often carry three people.
3) Somewhat sporty look.
4) Preferrably Japanese but not required.

If you're planning to spend less than 30k for your new convertible car, then this post is not for you.

Convertibles are sexy, but are you?

Buying a Mustang is NOT sexy. Unless you are a big buff vietnamese brad pitt wannabe with boxers hanging out like Slim Shady, then you might be able to pull it off with a Mustang convertible. But we're vietnamese, and most likely to have the GQ, OG, sexy, and nerdy look. Therefore, we have to find a convertible that fits our budget, and attitude. If you're a lay back, calm, easy going, then an audi A4 would be good for you, since it has a nice touch and round body, people will give you the same respect and judgement as if you are a high end with a nice attitude. But if you're a badass racer, agressive on the wheels, and like chicks with short skirts at the import shows, then a 350z would definately do for you. But if you're GQ, sexy, and have a sex drive for almost anything that moves, ;), honda s2000 is the way to go.... If you don't fall into any of these categories, and would want to stay average with the above, get a BMW Z4 3.0 with Premium and Sport Package.

he wants a convertable with a "semi sporty" look, i thought that all convertable are sporty lol. The miata is a good fit, i personally like the mustang because of it's price, my friend got one and i dont' see him with problem yet, and the new mustang is suppose to pretty fast, S2000 is cool but doesn't that cost like an arm and a leg plus your testical? you need a price range 1st to determine what kindda car to get. Convertable aren't cheap, the 350 is going down in price i believe, they aren't as expensive as they used to be, but the roadster version of the car is still quite expensive. and for all the reason i do not want to drive a small convertable car because once you crash against a regular 4 door or a truck i would hate to think what would happen to you. And you would perfer to drive a stick over an auto? if i were you i would rethink of what you're gonna do with the car, driving a stick isn't as cool as it looks like in movies, it's fun, yes, making you look cool? no. and if you live in crowded city like LA or NY, i would pray everytime you get into a manual and drive around. and can someone point out to me why people perfer to drive manual over auto?
here's what i've came up with

1) gas saving (newbie manual driver doesn't actually save gas :))
2) cheap <<< i got to point this out, a manual is about 800 dollars cheaper than an auto
3) fun <<< yeah, the jerkiness is always fun, it really feels like you're driving
4) cool <<< i don't really think it's that cool, i've never seen a girl get into a car with a guy driving a manual and dump him the next day because he really drives an auto

I don't blame you; S2000 and Z4 are known to be the "chick car"... however, just like a guy wearing a pink shirt, or lavender shirt; is he a chick wannabe or he is just simply confident with his sexuality and damn sexy?

Again, it's just depending on your personality and the image you want to show. Again, the 350z IMO, is nice and just so damn badass and lets race you son of a bitch type...while the S2000 and Z4 is more like lets have dinner and go back to my place and have hot and wild conversations... hahahha

you can get a new model 2006 BMW 3-series 2 door, convertable for around $40K out door. this thing has a new engine and it's pretty powerful.

do you have a picture of this new model? The only thing that's close to being a sexy convertible that BMW has is the Z4, with premium and sport package combine, of course, you have to roll with the 3.0.
