The size and weight of this bike is fair for an average asian guy, but I think its power is a little too much for beginner. Of course if you need to go for 600 or higher, you can still be careful at the beginning and grow gradually into it. When your skill has improved to a certain level, you won't feel that it's too heavy for you. If you can sit on the seat and have both feet touching the ground, you'll have more control in handling its weight. Doesn't have to touch both heels flat, as long as you don't tiptoeing too much, then it should be ok.
If you really like it then go for it and don't worry about the size. Some of my friends are short, and a girl too, still they can ride it comfortably. You should have more concern about its power though.

Way too good for a beginner. Get it, it looks nice. Don't forget to test drive the Honda 600RR. A buddy at work has one. It looks even better than the R6 and ride better too. Probably a little heavier.

Dude, why dont you get a used CBR600 instead if money isn't a big issue to you then R6 is a sweet bike to go too. Ride safe!
