Incense burning

You have two sticks of incense, each of which burn for an hour from on end to the other. However, the width of the sticks are not uniform. And the rates of burning are not constant, which means they can burn fast at the beginning and slow at the end, or some other random ways.

Given those two sticks of incense and a box of matches, how do you measure 45 minutes?

Remember, the rate of burning is not constant, so you can't cut 3/4 of the stick and burn it!!!

May I post in Vietnamese? 'cause it's easy for me to express :
- Đốt đồng thời cả 2 que : Que thứ nhất đốt cả 2 đầu , que thứ hai chỉ đốt 1 đầu.
- Khi que thứ nhất cháy hết hoàn toàn : 30 phút đã trôi qua . Ngay khi đó đó đốt luôn đầu còn lại của que thứ hai.
- Khi que thứ hai cháy hết hoàn toàn : thêm 15 phút nữa trôi qua.
Như vậy , thời gian để đốt 2 que như trên là 45 phút .
