2> Người đàn bà tên là Milady de Winter, dựa theo truyện Les Trois Mousquetaires (3 chàng ngự lâm pháo thủ) của văn hào Pháp Alexandre Dumas.

3> Người thuỷ thủ không may Cuba Santiago, trong truyện The Old Man and The Sea của văn hào Mỹ Ernest Hemingway.

It's actually Echo and Narcissus.
Narcissus fell in love with his own beauty one day, when he looked into the river.
Echo saw him, and fell in love, but she was cursed, could not express her love for him, could only repeat the last word that was said by people. Myth has it after he died, his body fell into the river and became the soft white & yellow pretty little petals.
Hence the flower -- Narcissus (small, similar to Daffodils) was named from this.

How sad !! My favorite all time romance.
