I'm still loyal to AMD though :)

ecs mobo sucks. they giving it away for free (AR) and many peopel still dont want it.

Very nice. Maybe someday someone comes up w/ a motherboard that can use AMD and Intel chip at the same time.
Apple used to sell computers (is it Power Mac ? not so sure about the name now) that have both IBM and Intel CPU's onboard and both CPU's are active simultaneously.
One can switch between the two CPU's using the keyboard.
phdo,
yeah i heard a lot of people saying too

NOT ALL ecs mobo sucks, i have ecs k7s5a and athlon 2000+ never giving me any problem for more than 2 yrs, even i get a customer returned mobo
however, i think ecs has problem w/ control quality of their product, a lot of complaining

My brother have ECS 755-A2 and AMD 3200 combo, sys run very fast, I use it to rip dvd using DVDRebuilt and CCE, it ran much faster than my MSI LSR NEO PT800 and 3.2G Intel CPU. My Brother AMD has CCE rate = 3.95 vs my 3.2 G Intel CCE = 2.94

Intel should be better and faster in video & photo fileds, yes, I agree. I donot know if the video ram and speed make the different when encode the video (software base program only). My Intel PC has only 32 Meg ram and AMD PC come with 128 Meg. By the way, for those who want to buy ECS motherboard, do not use different keyboard then its spec, otherwise the keyboard controler unit will burn. I used my Sony keyboard and burnt 2 ECS 755-A2 motherboard, luckily, it still under warranty and I can exchange the 3rd one.

Yes, I meant dual cpu (one intel and one amd cpu) motherboard. It'll be expensive but we can always wish for one, can't we ? :)
