I need some good advices from you guys here. The problem is that I am currently going through college while working/interning at an engineering facility. Things should great for me right? Going to school and get money while learning at this intern site. Apparently, I cannot manage my time wisely enough and letted my grade slipped threw my fingers ending up dropping a math course and barely passed my beginning MET course.
I know some of you guys might said why not manage my time right and it'll be fine. I do want that, but I need time to change. I think that I should concentrate on one thing more than the other and that is schooling. I want to be able to go to school during the school years only and working at my intern job during the summers.Hopefully by doing this, my grade can improve. I also am afraid that if I do this I might have to quit this
wonderful place I'm interning for. I do not want that. If you guys have a good idea of how I can accomplish this without losing the job but able to keep it during the summers. Maybe a good letter to my supervisor or HR would do too.
Thanks,
Hoping to hear good advices from you guys!

Well, how many classes are you taking while doing your intern? Normally, when doing internship, companies does not like you to take classes, however there are some company that let you do that, but only let you take 1 or 2 classes so you can manage your time. Are you saying you go to schoool full time and intern full time? I don't get the point here. That sound quite impossible.

Lol @ sbinh...
Actually the company lets me choose my hours but seems like 15-20 hours a week. I am a fulltime student. I am taking like 17 credits this coming semester and will definitely have to study a lot. Overall, my decision is already made but I want to know a good way to talk to my supervisor so he'll keep me even though I'm only gonna work during the summer.

I have to second SBinh's idea of working less and study more. You can work as much as you want after you graduate but can't go to school forever. Also, once you have a good degree you can make much more than what you're making now given the same effort.

I agree with zxorated,
I did internship at Lockheed Martin for 2+ years and that I was allowed to prioritize my time by putting school first. Many companies only required you to work at least 12hr per week, with an expection of exam preparation when you do not have to work at all. Why dont you discuss this matter with your supervisor. After all, school should always come first. Dont ever sacrify school for work.
