NAVASA Fellowship
The 2006 VACAP Fellowship Application is due (October 21, 2005). If you are interested in applying, please do so as soon as possible. In addition, please help NAVASA spread the word about this great opportunity by forwarding this e-mail within you network. Below are the description of the fellowship program and the many benefits that the fellow will receive.
The VACAP Fellowship is a great opportunity for young Vietnamese American professionals to gain valuable experiences that he/she would not otherwise learn from a normal entry level job. Furthermore, each fellow will have the chance to work intimately with the Vietnamese American community, grow professionally, and can truly make a difference in the community in which he/she is placed. Therefore, no matter what field the fellow decides to pursue at the end of the fellowship, the experience that he/she learn will become valuable tools in his/her career.
There are 10 fellowship positions available this year.
Also, in addition to the regular fellowship opportunity to work with the Vietnamese American community, out of the 10, NAVASA will select two qualified fellows to work directly with the Vietnamese American evacuees of hurricane Katrina in the affected areas. The two selected fellows will work under NAVASA supervision to provide long term relief to the Vietnamese American community. This two (2) fellows will receive the same benefits as those who does not focus on Katrina relief.
