totally new design IS for 2006 with 2 versions of IS250 and IS350. I think IS350 is designed to compete with 3 series BMW and Benz C_model

is250 & 350 were out on last Fri. they go for 36.504, but the dealer would sell 38.600, because it's new.

OTD would easily over $40K. that's too much.

what the price do you get from the dealer? :redlaser:

i think lexus goes crazy.. and dealer go mad for jack it up that much.

crazy... :wiggle:

I test drove both an IS250 AWD and IS350 last Saturday. nice looking car, very luxurious inside. gorgous and MEAN outside. both have options on it so the AWD is $39,xxx and the IS350 is $44,xxx.

IS250 AWD is heavy ~3600 lbs with 204 hp and 185 ft lbs of torque V6 2.5L. It is slow like a PIG but it handles very nice. don't buy this one, it doesn't worth that much.

The IS350 is AWESOME. it is fast, faster than 330i, C350 Mercedes, G35, TL. It accelerates very smooth and very fast. the interior and exterior are the same as the 250, the different is under-the-hood and maybe the suspension later. I drove very hard and it responds very good.

Lexus is CRAZY, or I may say Bob Carter (VP of lexus sales of America) is crazy. The car starting price is OK but these options are stupid. If you want HID, you need to pay for about $3700 for some other junks that I don't need. NAVI is $2550, well I think TL NAVI is really good (if not the best), and it is about 2k. You can top out the IS250 AWD for well above 41k easy, IS350 can go as high as 46k.

The dealer kept telling me put a down payment for an order but i told them well, thanks. I think I'll wait until inventory catched up.

Give it a test drive but don't buy it yet unless you are LEXUS's NUT.

Peace.

Yea the lexus prices are crazy. I'm thinking to trade in my prelude for an IS350 'cos never own a lexus b4, at first i thought it's roughly around 35 grand now by looking at the lexus website OMG :D i rather get a BMW instead. Bro ConChimSe, where did you get that 44 grand? thats a crazy price man for a V6 luxury car that's almost the same price as an M3. Take a look at this, base price is 38 grand.

Hey, Wolf.

With that base price, if you drop in the NAVI and Part Assist plus, 18" wheels, HID and other stuffs then you will see how the price jumps. This is the package that was on the IS350 I tested:

Luxury Package with 18-in wheels with Additional Options $8,899.00

Luxury Package with 18-in wheels includes Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim, Perforated leather-trimmed interior, Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, Lexus Memory System for power driver's seat (except lumbar) outside mirrors and steering wheel, Heated and ventilated front seats, Illuminated doorsill scuff plates, Power rear-window sunshade, Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle, Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse, Bi-xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), and 18-in alloy wheels.
Additional Options:
- Navigation System/Mark Levinson® Premium Audio System Package
- Intuitive Parking Assist
- Preferred Accessory Package (includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks)

FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF: $44,929 - PACKAGE OPTIONS VARY PER ZIPCODE

***For M3 price: You're talking about in the NORTH of 50k to South of 60K, there is no such M3 in the 40s unless IT'S USED.

The BASED PRICE is good but it's hard to find a based (barebone) IS250 or 350. Most people complaint about the price for these packages. they package options together to raise the price so if you want a particular option, you may have to get others irrelevant options which you don't really need.
