I have a '95 Integra. Currently, I have all seasons tire, and I've been told that I should get Snow Tires for this area (CT). We just got some icy rain today, and I can't even drive up my driveway now; it's completely covered in ice. I believe Chain is more economical than Snow Tires.
So, Snow Tires or Chains? And where to buy them?

true that chain is more economy than snow tires, but for safety and better in term of long life for your car, try a set of snow tires, or at least a pair attache to front wheel or rear wheel or whatever your engine drives them

If you are permanent resident there, then I would get snow tire. It's much safer and secure then chain. And when the snow and ice are starting to melt, you need to take them off because they will tear up your drive way and the road.
Good Luck
