Hi,
I have an Accord 99 with OEM deck. I always have hard times to play any copy CD on this deck even though I burned the CD at 1x. I'm thinking about upgrade the system to something which can play mp3 and has navigation or dvd. Is there any stock system out there fits my car? Secondly, if I want to improve the sound quality, should I also upgrade the speakers? I'd like to have some bass but I don't want to give up the trunk's space. I'm currently looking at Clarion, Esclipse which are kind of pricey.
Please advise.
If you want all that, it gonna cost you at least $2000.... not in even labor yet.... Here is the best thing you can do for your accord....
Get kenwood or Alpine deck around $300 - $400... Play all of music you want... Upgrade 4 speakers.... If you want a sub, add a big amp and a big subwoofer and a reristor or something << Convicton know a lot of this stuff >>.. If you want navigator, get a small compact Garmen or other brand other there around $500....
Just my 2 cents :p
if you want better sound better upgrade stock speaker, they don't even worth 5 buck. i like the infinity kappa series.
if you're just look for a regular receiver not the one with screen then i recommend Pioneer! i had an old pioneer and it got jack i bought my second receiver its a kenwood and sound worse compare to pioneer, pioneer have much stronger bass. and tons of setting, for the same price is really hard to beat. after that i sold my kenwood and buy another pioneer errk
i got this at cardomain.com and love it...

they give free harness and kit to install, even wire kit are free, all you have to do is select the right one for your car. cheapest place i find. free shipping.
i suggest that you go to bestbuy or fry's electronic to really play with the thing and see if you like it.
