Question about car insurance

I have a question concerning car insurance.

This is what happened. I parked my car at a parking and some one kicked the grilled of my GMC and i though that it would be cheap to replace but when i was at the car dealership they told me that it would cost $700 to replace it.
The question is if i claim insurance does my insurance go up.

Anything that touch and damage your car? you can claim your insurance. Even your windshield!

Yes, it will go up. But what the point if you have insurance and you dont use it for something like this? If its go up too much, go find another provider!
