CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS WORKS, BUT IT SURE DOES.

Locked your keys in your car????

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone on your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other
person at your home press the unlock button of your key fob (clicker), holding it near the phone on their end. Your car doors will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object you could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can
reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk!).

Editor's Note * It works fine! We tried it out, and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!)

I locked the car, had my youngest daughter call me while I was far away from the car. I clicked "open" into the phone and I could hear the car doors unlock through her cell phone.. My daughter confirmed that sure enough the doors opened.

your telephone at home works a microphone and accepts sound, then converts the sound to telephone signal to send to your cellphone
your cellphone receives digital signal, then converts it to analog, then plays the sound so you can hear
how the heck can the car remote's signal get to the car to have open the doors !!! myth busted without any experiment !!
don't be a fool and try it guys, it just doesn't work !!! :D :D
your neighbor girl will be laughing at you when seeing you trying to open the car with your cellphone, she will think you are a fool like trying a myth on the internet about putting a red hot pepper up your ax to maintain erection :D

I tried it too, it worked even without the phone.......I was inside the car:D.
2 things I carry with me all time, a spare key and spare remote control. God know how many times I forgot keys inside the car.:D

To make it short, how are you going to transmit RF signal from the remote to sound so the phone can trasmit over the line?? Like this story about unpluging your telephone from the jack, so the telephone company needs to blow air to get all the dust out of the line. :turn:
