I had a Mp3/CD deck installed on my car the other day. The problem is the clock on the deck doesn't seem to keep it settings. I set the clock, but then later when I turn the car on, the clock went back to default which is 12:00. Also the deck doesn't resume playing where it left, it went back to track 1 at beginning.
Does anyone knows what is the problem here ? is it the deck or the wiring is wrong ??
thanks

hmmm...I installed one on my Accord, and haven't run into such problem. Check to make sure you wire it correctly. If the wiring is correct, I would think it is the deck.

Did you install it yourself?
There are two power wires: red and yellow. The yellow is always live. The red one has power when your key turns to acc or engine on. In this case, the yellow wire has no power or is not connected, that's why there is no power to keep the clock and cd position when you turn off and turn on the car. Check this line. It's the problem. If you have a meter or 12V meter light, you can quickly check to see if the yellow wire has power or not when you turn the key off.
I know some people are lazy that connect both yellow and red wires from the deck to just one red wire from the car.
Missing live wire. If installed by store, bring back to them. If self install, read instruction in manual book.
The live wires in yellow color like HBPN said :cigar:

otherwise known as the memory wire. And use a wiring harness, it'll be much easier.
