temperature reader

hi, i have a montana van 98 v6, recently the temperature reader (measure temp. out side) kinds measure incorectly, for instance, outside temp. about 100 degree, but my reader reads 53 or less... how can i fix this problem?

I don't know what to tell U b/c I have no idea about Montana van.
About the outside temp reader, I think this is just a gadget feature.
I've seen many of those in old Lexus give false reading and it's not really worth fixing it.

It could be few things (not worth fixing it):
1) the meter itself
2) thermostat
3) the wired temp sensor
